"ANKARA - Turkish Parliament`s Justice Committee on Thursday adopted a new draft bill on sales of real estates to foreigners following an overruling decision by the Constitutional Court.
On March 12th, Turkey`s Constitutional Court cancelled a law on sales of real estates to foreign companies and joint ventures.
The new bill enables aliens and foreign companies to purchase real estate up to 10 percent of areas in the zoning plan. The bill also authorizes the Council of Ministers to change the percentage (not more than 10 percent), taking into consideration the significance of towns in terms of infrastructure, economy, energy, environment, culture, agriculture and the like."
